Welcome to the UF faculty funding pages! These listings are designed to assist you in exploring some of the diversity of humanities funding opportunities for a range of research activities. If you are new to fund-seeking at UF, please bear in mind the following important information:

There are specific processes for applying to fellowships and grants at UF. Please contact your chair/director as early as possible to learn about the specific process and internal deadlines that will apply to your submission.

Faculty in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) should review and submit the CLAS Faculty Fellowship Policy and Application to have pre-approved the amount of support the college will be able to provide during the proposed fellowship period.

UF Internal Funding Opportunities

A wide range of funding opportunities at UF for research, teaching, conferences and meetings, collaborations, etc. These opportunities are good to leverage as seed funding to conduct initial work to prepare for an external funding proposal, or as cost-share for an external grant proposal.

External Funding Opportunities

A range of research funding including research and travel grants, fellowships, residential fellowships, postdoctoral fellowships (for faculty within a certain timeframe of receiving their Ph.D.), archival development and digitization, meetings, exhibitions, film- and documentary-making, and publication subvention.
